Lodz University of Technology supports the development of women and girls in science, education and research. It promotes and recognises women's scientific achievements and encourages girls to study technical subjects. International Women and Girls in Science Day (11.02) is a good opportunity to show the female side of the university.
Phillips Poland Sp. z o.o., together with the Faculty of Material Technologies and Textile Design, organised a competition for design students to design and create the technical documentation of a flap for the socket located on the truck tractor, i.e. the truck designed to pull semi-trailers. The winning design will be manufactured by the company.

A team of researchers from Lodz University of Technology, under the direction of Professor Grażyna Budryn, has developed an innovative technology for obtaining durable biodegradable foil based on starch. Researchers from the Department of Molecular Physics of Lodz University of Technology received over PLN 1.2 million in funding from the National Centre for Research and Development for their project entitled "New methods for structuring printed QD-LEDs for use in light displays".
