Academic Achievements

Aneta Poniszewska-Marańda, DSc, PhD, Eng., is an Associate Professor in the discipline of Information and Communication Technologies. Her research focuses on the digital transformation of organizations through interdisciplinary approaches that combine computer science, artificial intelligence, and information systems. One of her most significant scientific achievements has been the development and validation of innovative intelligent system architectures that integrate advanced artificial intelligence methods with modern software engineering solutions. These contributions have improved data-processing efficiency while enhancing the reliability and performance of complex information systems and applications.

Research Profile

Her research interests include the design of secure and reliable information systems, digital risk assessment, data protection, and the application of artificial intelligence in business, education, and public administration. Her work bridges technological innovation and the evolving needs of contemporary organizations and the digital society. A major component of her research portfolio is the leadership of the SALUS project funded by the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR). She also maintains extensive international collaboration through Erasmus+ initiatives and leads several international projects, including GreenEDU, IntegratESG, and AITRaiN, aimed at developing innovative educational tools and supporting digital transformation and sustainable development.

Professor Poniszewska-Marańda collaborates closely with companies and public institutions involved in research and innovation projects, fostering effective knowledge transfer between academia and the socio-economic environment while supporting the development of competencies essential for the digital economy.

She is an active member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), IEEE Computer Society, the Association for Information Systems (AIS), and the Polish Information Processing Society. She serves on the editorial boards of leading scientific journals, participates in the organization of international conferences, and acts as a reviewer for prestigious academic publishers and journals. In addition, she contributes as an expert evaluator of research projects funded through major international programmes, including Horizon 2020, the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR), and Belgium’s DEFRA programme.
