Dr inż. Katarzyna Grzelak-Błaszczyk, the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences, has been awarded a 1.1 million złoty grant from the NCN Opus 23 funding scheme for her research project 'The effect of the combined osmoconcentration and lactic fermentation process on the profile of bioactive components of new varieties of onion in an in-vivo model'. The research will be conducted at the Institute of Food Technology and Analysis and the Institute of Fermentation Technology and Microbiology in collaboration with the scientists from the Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Olsztyn.
