The Ministry of Education and Science granted Lodz University of Technology additional funds to maintain and develop the university's teaching and research potential. Minister Przemysław Czarnek presented the Rector, Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik with a cheque for PLN 10.5 million.
Lodz University of Technology is the co-host of the European Universities Games, EUG 2022, which will be held from 17 to 30 July 2022. The organizers expect up to 6,000 people from over 40 European countries to participate in the event.
An interactive map of the European Universities Games Lodz 2022 (EUG 2022) was unveiled in the Sports Bay of Lodz University of Technology. It was created as part of the European Project Semester, a project carried out at the International Faculty of Engineering.

Lodz University of Technology and Medical University of Lodz conduct various joint projects and research. The Rectors of both universities have decided to appreciate their mutual cooperation and announce a competition for the best publication prepared jointly by the researchers from the Lodz University of Technology and Medical University o Lodz in 2021.
The three-day IV Ice Swimming World Championships in Głogów have come to an end, where two bronze medals were won by students of Lodz University of Technology: Aleksandra Bednarek and Tomasz Józefiak, appointed to the national team.

Phillips Poland Sp. z o.o., together with the Faculty of Material Technologies and Textile Design, organised a competition for design students to design and create the technical documentation of a flap for the socket located on the truck tractor, i.e. the truck designed to pull semi-trailers. The winning design will be manufactured by the company.

A team of researchers from Lodz University of Technology, under the direction of Professor Grażyna Budryn, has developed an innovative technology for obtaining durable biodegradable foil based on starch. Professor Budryn, Head of the Institute of Food Technology and Analysis, explains how it has been possible to create such a desired solution for the market.
A programme for the most talented students of Lodz University of Technology has been launched. Starting from 9 February, first-cycle students will be able to apply for the competition under the E²TOP - Excellence in Engineering Talents in Research with Opportunities Programme.
Researchers from the Department of Molecular Physics of Lodz University of Technology received over PLN 1.2 million in funding from the National Centre for Research and Development for their project entitled "New methods for structuring printed QD-LEDs for use in light displays". This is another example of joint research between Poland and Berlin/Brandenburg in the field of development and innovation in photonics.
