The National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) has announced a list of 176 winners of the 4th edition of the Bekker internship and research programme. Among the scholarship holders is Dr Eng. At the end of December 2021, the Rector of Lodz University of Technology, Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik, signed the Gender Equality Plan at Lodz University of Technology. The document provides for ensuring equality, in line with the principles of the European Charter for Researchers, and is the result of efforts by the university authorities to raise awareness of the importance of equality issues.

Researchers from the Faculty of Process and Environmental Engineering at Lodz University of Technology in cooperation with Otto-von-Guericke Universität Magdeburg (OVGU) will conduct research on a new spray drying technology. For this purpose, they have received nearly one million PLN from the National Science Centre from the OPUS + LAP programme.

The ancients approached music as a science. Pythagoras and his students believed that the sound proportions reflected the harmony of the cosmos. The Choir of Lodz University of Technology knows something about this, because its members combine the scientific and artistic minds in one. An example is Beata Rurarz, the president of the Choir, who does her doctorate with flying colours, because without music she cannot even imagine counting. Ludwig van Beethoven said: “It doesn't matter if you play a wrong note. Playing without passion is unforgivable! ”. Fortunately, our choristers do not lack passion!

The local government of the Lodz Voivodeship awarded a grant of PLN 385,000 to Lodz University of Technology for a research and teaching laboratory called RobOKOp-LAB, which will use oculography, i.e. visual activity tracking. The laboratory will conduct research on the nature and methods of work in the future.

Researchers from Lodz University of Technology have won a prestigious EUROfusion Engineering Grants (EEG), awarded for the first time to Polish scientists. The team will conduct research on the system monitoring the production of fusion plasma.
