A partner of Lodz University of Technology, DIGICA, a company specialising in developing software based on advanced artificial intelligence for the medical and defence industries, has opened a new office in Lodz.
The programme aims to create conditions for the development of cooperation of entities of the higher education system and science with the socio-economic environment, carried out within doctoral schools and consisting in educating doctoral candidates in cooperation with entrepreneurs or other entities employing them. The effect will be the implementation of these results of research activities carried out by doctoral students in these entities.
Professor Halina Abramczyk was honoured by the President with the Knight's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta for her outstanding achievements in scientific and didactic work and for promoting Polish science around the world.
Professor Beata Kolesińska from the Faculty of Chemistry at Lodz University of Technology has been awarded the Ambassador of Innovation prize by the Europejski Ośrodek Rozwoju Gospodarki. The researcher was awarded for conducting research work and pioneering projects with application potential.
