Admissions for studies at TUL in the academic year 2022/23 will begin on June 15. The university has prepared 5390 places for the first and second-cycle studies, and additionally 760 places for foreigners.
Biogenic crystals are crystals that grow inside or under the influence of living organisms. Their forms are very diverse and the process of their growth is extremely complex. Understanding how they are formed, what role they play in living organisms and what physical properties they have will open the way for us to use them in various applications, e.g. medicine or even in the fight against the effects of climate change.

In April, Lodz University of Technology will launch a new series of meetings "Zawód Naukowiec" (Scientist as the Profession”) aimed at the local community: young people over 13 years old and adults. It will be a unique opportunity to meet interesting scientists and visit a beautiful green campus of the university.
A team of scientists from Lodz University of Technology, Medical Universities in Lodz and Lublin and the CBMiM PAN in Lodz designed, synthesized and thoroughly investigated the physicochemical and biological properties of two new compounds with potential anticancer effects.

For the first time, the rectors of the Lodz University of Technology and the Medical University of Lodz awarded a joint award. It was awarded ex aequo to two teams of researchers from both universities for the best joint-university scientific publications in 2021. Both deal with topics that are very important to our health and life.
