On May 17 (Tuesday), a formal session of the Senate will be held at Lodz University of Technology, dedicated to the promotion of doctors and habilitated doctors as well as the awarding of decorations and distinctions to distinguished TUL staff members.

The results of the latest edition of the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings have been published, in which Lodz University of Technology was at the forefront of Polish universities.

The President of the Republic of Poland, by the decision of 30 March, granted two titles of professor of agricultural sciences in the discipline of nutrition and food technology: to Professor Katarzyna Śliżewska, and Professor Joanna Leszczyńska. Both nominees work at the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences at Lodz University of Technology.

At the Institute of Mechatronics and Information Systems, a modern Laboratory of Intelligent Building Management Systems was opened. A number of the latest ICT solutions from leading companies Bosch, Schneider SmartSys and Less have been installed in one space.

With a view to safety and monitoring of vital functions, a modern Laboratory of Intelligent Building Management Systems at the Faculty of Electrical, Electronic, Computer and Control Engineeringof Lodz University of Technology was officially opened. A number of the latest ICT solutions from leading companies have been installed in one space: Bosch, Schneider, SmartSys i Less.

Eight people from Lodz University of Technology received one-time scholarships. For the 16th time, the Marshal of the Lodz Voivodeship awarded pupils and students from the Lodz region for significant achievements in science.

In April 2022, Lodz University of Technology started the accession process to the structures of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology Health (EIT Health). The official accession of the university to the European consortium was planned during the meeting of Polish Partners of EIT Health, which will take place at TUL on May 6.
