The Centre for Papermaking and Printing at Lodz University of Technology is launching a project entitled “The impact of micro- and nanocellulose on the mechanical and barrier properties of multilayer fibrous materials”. The project is led by Karolina Radomska, PhD who secured funding from the National Science Centre’s MINIATURA 9 competition.

Representatives of institutions from nine countries met on 28–30 October to summarise the results of the FRONTSH1P project. It is one of only four projects in Europe addressing the circular economy in such a comprehensive manner, involving €18 million in funding and 35 partner institutions.

Lodz University of Technology (TUL) has established cooperation with Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT). The agreement aims to strengthen academic contacts and promote joint scientific initiatives between the two institutions. The document, signed for five years with the possibility of extension, lays the foundation for building long-term relations between them.

Five students from the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture, and Environmental Engineering won an international competition, presenting a project important for European cultural heritage. Damian Gębarski, Weronika Ławniczak, Aleksandra Bugajska, Michał Cegliński, and Zuzanna Czesna — architecture students — won an international contest for the adaptation of the palace and park complex in Zahrádky, Czechia.
