On Tuesday, October 25, the opening ceremony of TUL Non-Public Kindergarten took place. It was attended by many guests, for whom it is important to create a new facility looking after children. The cutting of the ribbon was attended by: Rector prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik and the vice-governor of Łódź, Karol Młynarczyk, representative of Zap-Bud companies Ismena Gawęda and the director of the kindergarten Agnieszka Baranowicz.

Passion and science accompany young researchers from Lodz University of Technology. Evidence of this can be seen in the PhDs carried out in the Interdisciplinary Doctoral School. One of the 12 disciplines that the young researchers are developing is architecture. Eng. arch. Marta Piórkowska, M.A. talks about her research into the influence of landscape on 20th-century architecture in the Nordic countries of Finland, Norway and Sweden, the subject of her PhD.

The final PiCoDe workshop took place in Eskişehir (Turkey), in a city founded by the Phrygians around 1000 BC. A group of students and teachers from Portugal, Poland, Turkey and USA worked on the design and prototype of a new product, primarily made from a local material called meerschaum.

The 3D modelling of the prototypes and development of sketching and preideafication boards and experiemental material displays were exhibited to public on 7th October 2022 at Atilla Özer Karikatürlü Gallery, Eskişehir.

Obtaining foreign accreditation and certificates from industry committees by Polish universities increases the international competitiveness of universities, builds their international visibility, but also brings benefits from the preparation for accreditation processes. ABET accreditation - currently the most important and recognizable among students and employers accreditation for technical universities in the United States - is a confirmation of meeting the standards that make graduates of accredited programs ready to enter the labour market in important technical fields, leading in innovation and new technologies.

This painful condition affects more than 20 per cent of the entire population, not just the human population. It usually ends with surgery or joint implantation. Researchers from Lodz University of Technology, together with medics, are developing an innovative method of treating it. Assoc. Prof. Marcin Kozanecki, from the Department of Molecular Physics at the Faculty of Chemistry, head of the OPUS project, explains the method.
