Researchers from Lodz University of Technology participate in the European FLEXIndustries consortium. Under the Horizon Europe project over EUR 17 million will be allocated for innovative solutions supporting smart energy transformation in large industrial plants.

The Robotex International 2021 competition in Tallinn is the largest European robotics competition. It was the second time when the team of SKaNeR Robotics Student Research Group from Lodz University of Technology took part in it, taking the two highest places on the podium. In the grand final of the World Robot Summit, the Raptors team from Lodz University of Technology stood on the podium and took third place. In the finals, our team was the only one from outside Japan.

Friday, 17 September, will be the day of two important ceremonies at Lodz University of Technology. The first of them is the opening of the building Alchemium - the magic of chemistry of tomorrow and naming the representative lecture hall located there after Professor Tadeusz Paryjczak, whose commemorative plaque will be unveiled in the hall in front of the auditorium. The ceremony will begin at 10:00.
Two hours later, Professor Klaus Müllen, a German scientist of international renown in the scientific community, will receive an honorary doctorate of Lodz University of Technology.
Both ceremonies will take place in the Alchemium building (building A34), 114 Żeromskiego Street.
Professor Beata Kolesińska from the Faculty of Chemistry at Lodz University of Technology has been awarded the Ambassador of Innovation prize by the Europejski Ośrodek Rozwoju Gospodarki. The researcher was awarded for conducting research work and pioneering projects with application potential.

Applications for the award could be submitted by first- or second-cycle students with good academic results and significant achievements in scientific, artistic or social activities, cooperation with business or success in competitions.
Prof. Tomasz Kapitaniak from Lodz University of Technology has become a member of Academia Europaea, an elite association of scientists that advises the European Commission.
