During the solemn session of the Senate, the rector, Professor Krzysztof Jóźwik, made an address which took stock of the university's achievements over the past year. La Société des Architectes Polonais en France, headquartered in Paris, has awarded its annual award PRIX SARP FR 2023 for the most interesting 2022 engineering degree project addressing architectural issues. Announced a double winner of the competition was inż. Robert Machura, who holds a degree in Architecture awarded by Lodz University of Technology.

Over the past year, close to 90 individuals, having successfully defended their doctoral dissertations or received their postdoctoral degree, have advanced to the next stage of their academic careers. It was a day of rejoicing and contentment for the individuals who attended the session of the TUL Senate held on this occasion.
Lodz University of Technology has been recognized in the ‘European Universities - Alliances of the Future’ competition. TUL won in the category Erasmus+ Excellence. The 6th Stena Circular Economy Award (SCEA) competition grand finale was part of the ToGetAir 2023 Climate Summit, which took place just before the International Earth Day. The top prize in the Student category went to Marlena Idczak and Klementyna Folwarczyk - students pursuing a degree in Management and Production Engineering at the Faculty of Organization and Management. The winning proposal sets out to develop a product - a non-woven landscape fabric mulch, which will be produced from waste, i.e. used clothes, made from sheep wool.
