Over the last two years, Assoc. Prof. Eng. Robert Cichowicz, Professor at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Environmental Engineering at TUL, has been analysing the air quality with the use of a specialised drone in various locations within the Lodz agglomeration, including: the A and B campus of Lodz University of Technology and the areas which may be affected by the Lodz Combined Heat and Power Plants EC-3 and EC-4. He explains the results of his research in an interview and presents them in the prepared video footage.

Recently, at Lodz University of Technology, we open admissions dedicated to foreign candidates twice before each semester. First round of admissions ended at the beginning of January, and the next one is just ahead of us.

Łukasz Adamek, M.Sc., a doctoral student at the Faculty of Electrical, Electronic, Computer and Control Engineering is taking part in an economic mission to Egypt (May 29-31) attended by the President of Poland. During the Poland-Egypt New Tech Forum in Cairo, Mr Adamek is presenting an innovative solution based on the use of thermal imaging to detect early symptoms of disease in animals.

In April, Lodz University of Technology will launch a new series of meetings "Zawód Naukowiec" (Scientist as the Profession”) aimed at the local community: young people over 13 years old and adults. It will be a unique opportunity to meet interesting scientists and visit a beautiful green campus of the university.

With worry and sadness, we observe what is happening on the borders and territory of that country, and we take this situation personally, especially since many Ukrainian citizens live, work and study in our area.

This year, Lodz University of Technology has 325 volunteers, including the university's authorities. This weekend in Manufaktura we will all be raising money for equipment for diagnosing and treating children's eyesight.

The Educational Foundation "Perspektywy" organized the next, fifth edition of the conference: Polish universities in the world perspective - Rankings and strategic management of a university. It was devoted to the analysis of key issues related to the European and global dimension of the functioning of Polish universities and building their international visibility. The two-day event, which took place in mid-July, gathered over 120 people and over 300 online participants.

Aleksandra Bednarek, a student of Lodz University of Technology, has crossed the English Channel and, as the first Polish woman, has won the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming.
