A team of young chemists under the direction of Professor Anna Masek from the Faculty of Chemistry at TUL was awarded this year's "Łódzkie Eureka" prize. The award was presented during the inauguration ceremony of the 20th jubilee Festival of Science, Technology and Arts.

Aleksandra Wilczyńska began her studies in IT, but since childhood she has been passionate about space. The project entitled "Sustainable Industrial Design of Textile Structures for Composites", coordinated by Prof. Marcin Barburski, from the Institute of Architecture of Textile at TUL, has been nominated for the title Symbol of the Synergy of Science and Business 2022.
Symbol is a nationwide programme aimed at promoting the best symbolic entities in their industries. More than 500 institutions have won the award over the past 11 years.
The game "Bzzz! - Together in Power" won the Best Gameplay category of the Indie Showcase competition at the international Game Access Conference held at the end of May (May 27-28) in Brno (Czech Republic). The DVD Unicorns team - computer science students at the TUL Faculty of Technical Physics, Information Technology and Applied Mathematics - competed against game projects created largely by small and medium-sized companies in the video game industry.
Lodz University of Technology is proud of the numerous successes of students involved in scientific circles. These activities have also been appreciated by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. As part of the competition "Students' scientific circles create innovations", it awarded almost PLN 0.5 million. Funding for the projects was granted to as many as 8 scientific circles, the highest number among all the universities in Poland.
The workshop "Prospects for development of air transport and logistics in the Łódź agglomeration" has just come to an end. A programme for the most talented students of Lodz University of Technology has been launched. Starting from 9 February, first-cycle students will be able to apply for the competition under the E²TOP - Excellence in Engineering Talents in Research with Opportunities Programme.
Cooperation between the two universities to date has involved, among other things, joint postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Process and Environmental Engineering, which have been completed by more than 100 graduates of the Mail School of Fire Service in Warsaw. Now, the signed agreement provides for long-term cooperation in science, research and development, as well as teaching and organisational activities.
