The winners of the Rector's Awards of the Lodz University of Technology have been announced. During the jubilee celebrations, on 24 May at the Senate session, the winners of will receive statuettes and diplomas

The Ministry of Science and Higher Education (MEiN) will provide PLN 230 thousand to students of Lodz University of Technology who are active in five student research groups. The granted funds come from the programme "Studenckie koła naukowe tworzą innowacje" [Student research groups create innovations].
Lodz University of Technology has moved up in all four areas evaluated in the ranking, gaining the most in the "education" category. In the national classification, the university came just behind the podium, in 4th place.
The results of the latest edition of the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings have been published. Lodz University of Technology made a very good debut.

On 26th February, the President of the Republic of Poland conferred the title of professor of engineering sciences on dr hab. inż. Jerzy Zgraja of the Faculty of Electrical, Electronic, Computer and Control Engineering (WEEIA).

In the Polish Radio "INNOVATIONS 2021" ranking, promoting innovative projects, products and services developed by universities and companies, the second place in the best ecological solution category was taken by biodegradable masks from TUL.
Professor Jan Awrejcewicz has received an honorary doctorate degree from the Prydniprovsky State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture (PSACEA) in Ukraine. This is the first TUL honorary doctorate degree conferred in an online ceremony.
Increasing interaction and relations between the lecturer and the student, as well as increasing motivation during online learning, are the main objectives of a project which received EUR 300 000 in funding. This is the highest amount awarded in the Erasmus+ programme.
Dr Zywilla Fechner from the Institute of Mathematics at TUL received the 2020 Award of the Polish Women in Mathematics Society (PTKM). Her series of publications on long-term research on problems derived from hypergroup theory was appreciated.

Out of hundreds of entries to the Microsoft Imagine Cup 2021 competition from all over the world, a total of 38 projects qualified for the finals, including one from Poland, developed by students and doctoral students of Lodz University of Technology.
On 20 January dr. hab. inż. Ryszard Pawlak from the Faculty of Electrical, Electronic, Computer and Control Engineering at TUL was awarded professorship by the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda.
Nanotechnology, the second-cycle programme offered by the Faculty of Chemistry, has been awarded the certificate of quality by the Accreditation Commission of Universities of Technology (KAUT) and the EUR-ACE European Accreditation of Engineering Programmes quality label, which will be valid for 5 years.
