The 13th edition of the SONATA BIS program turned out to be lucky for Lodz University of Technology. The National Science Centre awarded Dr. Marcin Gębski from the Photonics Team of the Institute of Physics more than 3.7 million PLN in funding for the implementation of the project: Semiconductor surface-emitting lasers with subwavelength grating mirrors MHCG.

Scientists and students from Lodz University of Technology brought back two medals, gold and silver, from the Kaohsiung International Invention and Design Expo in Taiwan.
The latest results of the international University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP) 2023-2024, developed by the Informatics Institute at Middle East Technical University in Turkey, have been published. Lodz University of Technology advanced by 5 places, taking the 13th position in Poland.
The National Centre for Research and Development will co-finance a project from Lodz University of Technology concerning the education of specialists for the needs of key sectors of the economy. The university will receive 8 million PLN for this purpose from the European Funds for Social Development (FERS) program, which replaced the Knowledge Education Development (POWER) program.

The project is the result of collaboration between the university and the Polish Mother's Memorial Hospital - Research Institute (ICZMP). - What we have done together is of great significance. It will improve therapy algorithms and be helpful in saving lives in the future - say the project's implementers, both computer scientists and medical professionals.
