The 10th edition of the "Eureka! DGP - we discover Polish inventions", was lucky for Lodz university of Technology. Researchers from the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences, with team leader Joanna Grzelczyk, PhD won second place.
A team of TUL students has won an impressive victory in the finals of International Small Wind Turbine Contest. They return to Poland with two of the three main prizes. Their innovative wind turbine won first place, beating teams from Canada, the Netherlands, Egypt or Denmark.

Students majoring in Information Technology at the Faculty of Technical Physics, Information Technology and Applied Mathematics (FTiMS) within IFE programme, took 1st place in this year's Hacathon, a competition jointly organized by the Career Offices at the following Lodz universities: Medical University of Lodz (UMed) ,TUL, and the University of Lodz (UŁ).
A team of Raptors from the Robotics Science Club SKaNeR at the TUL Faculty of Electrical, Electronic, Computer and Control Engineering took part in the anniversary Droniada, which ended on June 4th in Chorzów at the Mars Fields and the Muchowiec airport in Katowice. The students went there with their drones - Hexacopter and Mavik - and successfully competed in six competitions.
- One of the elements of education is to popularize the acquired knowledge using social media. I mainly focus on young audiences, I want to inspire them to self-development and perhaps a future scientific career - says Weronika Majchrzak, a doctoral student in the Department of Environmental Biotechnology at the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences, who brews beer herself and uses social media to educate others. The academic community of Lodz University of Technology is very proud of the title of European Tree of the Year 2023, which was awarded to Oak Fabrykant which grows in Bishop Klepacz Park on TUL campus. The university community decided to commemorate this achievement and founded a monument with a commemorative plaque informing of its successes.
For the first time in Poland, on May 14, the Sports Bay, TUL will host the finals of the F1 in Schools Poland world competition, under the patronage of Formula 1. As the organizers say, it is the largest and most exciting STEM (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics) competition in the world.

Two fields of study: occupational safety engineering at the Faculty of Process and Environmental Engineering and chemical technology at the Faculty of Chemistry have been accredited by the Polish Accreditation Committee (PKA).
